Port of Nérac

Beautiful, wild, and relaxing, it lets us drift along with the current. Its main attraction is its tranquility. The cruising speed is limited to 6 km/h.

The Baïse River is navigable for 62 km from April1to November1. Beautiful, wild, and relaxing, it lets us drift along with the current. Its major asset: its tranquility. The cruising speed is limited to 6km/h. Boaters cross Gascony at a leisurely pace, passing through the departments of Gers and Lot-et-Garonne to stop off in the Albret and Ténarèze regions. Nérac, one of the most beautiful river ports in France, welcomes you for a colorful stopover!

Parking at the Port of Nérac

  • Mooring: right bank (2 bollards) and left bank (4 bollards).
  • Parking strictly prohibited in the Royal Park of La Garenne

The royal city of Henry IV is THE must-see stop on the Baïse River. Located in the heart of the city, the port of Nérac offers an exceptional 200-meter panorama between Pont Vieux and Pont Neuf: on the left bank, you can see the Château-Musée Henri IV, residence of the kings of Navarre in the 15th and 16th centuries, and the imposing silhouette of the Saint-Nicolas church. On the right bank, you can see the facades and roofs of Petit Nérac and its slender Notre-Dame church. Bordered by old tanneries, a wash house, and the remains of ramparts, the port of Nérac will charm you with its many attractions!

Regulatory rates at the Port of Nérac

Payment for parking and the visitor’s tax is made directly at the payment kiosk located on the right bank, across from the Prince Henry Cruises office. Payment is accepted by credit card and contactless payment only.

  • 7-night package (1 week): €50/boat
  • Monthly fee: $180/boat
  • Visitor's tax: €0.29 per person per night

Conditions for exemption from tourist tax

  • People residing in Albret whose residence is subject to the housing tax
  • Minors
  • Holders of seasonal employment contracts employed in the municipality
  • People benefiting from emergency accommodation or temporary rehousing

The Services of the Port of Nérac

The above rates include a flat fee for:

  • Occupation of public river areas
  • Various connections (electricity, water) are available thanks to six terminals located on both banks. Each terminal has four 16A electrical outlets and four taps. To activate the electricity and water, you must enter the numbers of the electricity and water supply points that correspond to your connections upon arrival at the port at the payment terminal.
  • The restrooms and showers (OUT OF SERVICE) located on the right bank behind the Prince Henry Cruises office. The restroom building has two shower and toilet stalls reserved for boaters.
  • The collection and processing of waste that must be deposited at the voluntary drop-off points, located behind the Maison de l'Etat, 150 meters from the port, on the right bank. Take the Quai de la Baïse; the containers are located just above the entrance to the Place de la Liberté et des Droits de l'Homme.

Downstream fromthe port of Buzet-sur-Baïse, we travel up the river towards the following stops or ports:Feugarolles,Vianne,Lavardac,Nérac, Lasserre,Moncrabeau, Condom, and Valence-sur-Baïse.
