This small village in Albret, which today has 76 inhabitants, is nevertheless steeped in history. The highest point of this commune is 152 meters above sea level. Built on top of hillsides, the site was quickly occupied by the Romans, who built a villa there: the location was ideal for monitoring traffic on the Baïse River.
The Middle Ages transformed the site into a castrum, and the Renaissance into a château. This strategic location has seen many distinguished visitors: lords and noble families, both local and royal.
