The Royal Park of La Garenne
Classified as a historic site in 1909, this park faces the Jardins and Bains du Roy. It was created in the 16th century by Jeanne d'Albret and Antoine de Bourbon, and enlarged by Queen Margot, the first wife of Henry IV. From the 3,000-step walkway lined with the Saint Jean fountain, the statue of Fleurette and the Dauphin fountain, to the lovers' path, this promenade for the ladies of the court remains a favorite among the people of Nérac.
