Nérac, from the Château Henri IV to the Moulin des Tours

We offer a walk connecting two "Major Sites of Aquitaine" located in the town of Nérac: the Château-musée Henri IV and the Moulin des Tours, possessions of the Albret family. From the Baïse valley to the Gélise valley, you will walk along the panoramic hillside that separates them until they meet. The tour of Nérac will take you along Rue du Château, Cours Roma, Place du Général Leclerc, where the statue of Henri IV stands, and Allées d'Albret. The road then climbs the hillside of the Château Pierron vineyard. Successive viewpoints offer views of the Bréchan hillside on the right bank of the Baïse and the vast green expanse of the Landes forest on the left bank of the Gélise. You may even encounter pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela on one of the routes from Vézelay.
