Montagnac, a small mountain in Albret

Located at an altitude of 200 meters, Montagnac offers a 360° panorama of the "sea of hills" it overlooks. Above the traditional stone houses, the large bell tower of the church dominates the village skyline. From the rampart walk running around the surrounding walls, the view stretches over the Landes, Lomagne, and Garonne Valley, and on clear days, the Pyrenees mountain range. The colorful mosaic of hillsides reveals the richness of the terroir: vineyards and orchards, cereals and sunflowers, woods and meadows, all landscapes to be admired along this circuit, where the built heritage and numerous dovecotes also play an important role, reflecting the prosperity of the hillsides.
