Le Moulin des Tours, France’s largest fortified mill, built in the 14th century, transports you back to the Middle Ages on Saturdays and Sundays:
– Self-guided tours from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
– Guided tour (no reservation required) at 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Special appearance on the afternoon of Saturday, May 16, by the Emmaüs Le Maquis association, a 100% agricultural Emmaüs community based in Moncrabeau, which offers artisanal baking and sourdough breads made from heirloom grains grown on the farm.
Bread tasting on Saturday, May 16, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and discussions with Charles Poilly, the community’s leader, at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM, following the two afternoon guided tours.

After beating the cloth, grinding the grain, and processing the cork, it now generates electricity.
Its operations complemented the flour production at the “Moulin des Tours” or Henri IV Mill.
