Fieux is a small village with a population of 280 and is part of the canton of Francescas. It is a castrum first mentioned in 1259. It was defended by ramparts and moats. The village was built around its 13th-century church, which was demolished in 1860, and then developed around the 14th-century castle.
The castle has the layout of a Gascon castle, a type of castle found mainly in Lot-et-Garonne and Gers. The castle in Fieux has a round tower and a square tower. From the 1840s onwards, the castle's main function was to house the town hall and the village school. The old church was located in the center of the village. It was closed in 1858 due to its poor condition, and its stones were used to build the new church in 1859. The Church of Saint Jacques serves as a place of worship during the reconstruction of the Church of Saint Pierre.
Fieux offers a magnificent panoramic view, as its highest point is 189 meters above sea level.
