Village of Montgaillard
A fortified medieval village, this English stronghold was a strategic position during the Hundred Years' War, between Vianne and Xaintrailles. Until 1284, it controlled the lands of what is now the commune of Bastide de Vianne. A few remains from this period can still be seen, including the castle (13th century), ramparts, and a fortified gate. 13th-century church.
