Guided tour of Nérac
Head to the Albret Tourist Office to discover Nérac, the city of Albret, which will reveal all its secrets: in the shade of the century-old trees of Parc de la Garenne, you will walk among the ruins of a Gallo-Roman villa, but above all in the footsteps of Queen Margot, before continuing through the narrow streets of old Nérac with its beautiful half-timbered houses. The port district, crossed by the Baïse River, will dazzle you with its old bridge, tanneries, and remains of ramparts. On the opposite bank, you will see the imposing silhouette of the Church of Saint-Nicolas, a must-see after a stop in the courtyard of the Maison des Conférences, a magnificent mansion. Finally, you will end on a high note with the exterior of the Château-Musée Henri IV and its Renaissance gallery, which saw the young Henri de Navarre, future king of France, stay there.
